I've receive dozens of message from women who have shared with me that they don't have enough time to workout, they are overwhelmed by all the choices, and they just can't find a way to make themselves a priority in their crazy busy lives. After talking to these women who shared that they struggle to find the time to work out consistently, I felt obligated to create this as easy- to-use resource for them...well, actually... YOU!
Often we find that the things we love the most in our life—our families, our social life, our hobbies and our jobs—are also obstacles in reaching our wellness goals. This workout club allows women the opportunity to get a workout to make you sweat, feel stronger and restore your soul in less than 30 minutes.. either at home or at the gym... without feeling like you are neglecting those you love the most.
In fact, you may be surprised to find that you really are helping those you love the most when you move YOURSELF to the top of that priority list!

In an all-or-nothing society, there is the belief that if you don’t have at least an hour to go to the gym and workout then you may as well not bother at all. The reality is that when we just set aside 20 to 30 minutes, we can get a workout complete right in the comfort of our own homes.

DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR TO YOU?
You go to bed, set your alarm to get up early and get that morning workout in. The alarm goes off. "Morning already?! Ugh!" So, you hit snooze. You don't get that workout done that you had good intentions to do. You feel frustrated, guilty and defeated before your day even begins. There you are... falling off the wagon again before you even start.
But it's okay... you can just do it when you get home from work. So, you go through the work day getting things done, feeling like a boss. But there's still that lingering feeling... "I don't feel like working out after work today, but I'm going to. But dang it... I wish I would have just done it this morning." So, you keep making your way through the day.
On your way home you are planning it perfectly in your head. "Okay, I'm going to get home, put on my workout clothes as soon as I get in the door and then just leave right away for the gym. Today I'm going to get my workout done!"
You get home... and then, home happens. You notice a pile of mail that needs to be gone through. You sit down on the couch just for a second to take a rest and let your mind relax... because work, am I right? Then, before you know it, 20 minutes have already passed and you're not even in your workout clothes. Then you think, "What should we have for dinner?" That occupies your mind but you go up to your room to put on your workout clothes anyway. On the floor you see socks, a pair of jeans and laundry that should clearly be in the laundry basket. You pick it up quick. Put on your workout clothes and then think to yourself... I should just put a load of laundry in quick. So, you sort the pile, put it in the washer... and then you see the time. "Dinner! I better get that made"
.... and so the cycle continues.
Good intentions. Taking care of the house and your family. Getting dinner on the table. Tired after a busy day at work. Why does it seem like all these things get in your way of prioritizing YOU day after day?
It's exhausting.
I share this all-too-common story because truth be told, that used to be me.
Sometimes I really love going to the gym, but I got frustrated with how much time it took. It wasn’t just my workout time that I had to account for. I had to pick out my clothes to wear, get in my car, drive to the gym, find a place to park, check-in, find a place to store my bags, find just the right playlist to workout and then get my workout on. The most annoying thing is that sometimes I had to wait for equipment which then would make my workout even longer. I knew I could get a workout in at home with minimal equipment, and that it would take up less time. I just wasn’t sure where to start as there are so many options available.
First, it started with doing a 30 day yoga challenge I discovered. I honestly shocked myself in how committed I was to consistently working out—right in my home sweet home. And people started noticing too! I vividly remember someone commenting on my quads and in my head I was like “Serisouly? I’ve just been doing yoga!”
I just wanted someone to decide what workout to do for me. And, I didn't want to leave the house early in the morning, or when I got home from work. I wanted to move in way that felt good and nourishing like yoga does, but also burned a little like Barre does, and got my heart pumping like a kettle bell workout.
So, at first I made this calendar for me. Now I feel obligated to share it with others who are facing the same obstacles that I used to. It was something that helped get me moving consistently. It made me sore, but not in a way that I couldn’t get back to it the next day, and it made me feel proud and accomplished that each day I could mark off the workout calendar that I hung up on my fridge. It was those little daily wins that set me on the path of consistently working out. I was finally making working out work for me in a way that fit my schedule, energy and moods.
